In 1989, after a short meeting at the Kaiser Hotel, 28 backpackers agreed to pay a bond in exchange for accommodation at the newly named… Yellow House.
Exactly who named it the Yellow House isn’t known but it’s yellow exterior is a bit of a give-away.
Over 100 people (workers and travellers) stayed one or multiple nights during the 1989 winter season, along with hundreds who attended the infamous parties.
Christmas, New Year and Australia Day will never be the same after one of the Yellow House bashes.
Parties, nights at the Londoner, schnapps, skiing, apres-ski, toboggans, injuries and hang-overs.
