More than a million vehicles with Takata airbags have been added to a recall list by the consumer watchdog in May 2018, including Holden Cruze vehicles.
The defective Takata airbags can shatter shards of metal upon activation if the propelling mechanism is exposed to high levels of moisture.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission on Sunday published a revised recall list which added a further 1.1 million vehicles targeted for future airbag replacement.
Drivers will be notified by email, phone or text message when it is time for their replacement to be completed.
If you’re like me, I want to know “now” not wait for a dealer or Holden to contact me.
