Vicnet, a division of the State Library of Victoria is closing its web hosting, domain name and email services effective from Friday, January 31, 2014.
The majority of Vicnet web sites are small community groups like Toy Libraries, Playgroups, Community Organisations, Neighbourhood/Community Houses, Historical Societies, Probus groups, etc.
We are delighted to announce, Ripefruit (Melbourne) is offering 100% free web hosting to any community group that requires hosting services. The offer includes hosting in Australia (Canberra Datacentre), with no limits to space, software, bandwidth or number of email accounts.
Alternately, if you require a CMS (Content Management System) and a domain name, see beelow for two companies that offer free web site management, hosting and domain name services.
Either way, if you are unsure of your requirements, give us a call on (03) 9442-4348 and we will advise the best next steps.
